Most recent big band CD project "Life Is Good" features the world's best big band arrangers, great American music, plus the talent(s) of Frank Mantooth who big band arranged the CD's signature tune "Life Is Good." Mr. Carroll's big band and jazz quintet are available for clinics, concerts, jazz and wine festivals worldwide. George Carroll's recent film score for the film "SAMANTHA" will be released to the Sarasota Florida film festival. In addition, the film recently won best director, actress, and feature film from The Florida TV/Motion Pix Assn. I have written some 4000+ songs to my life credit in the style of our American Masters, (bossas, swing, waltz, themes, jazz ballads, movie scores, etc.) My movie score for the film "SAMANTHA" was featured at both the Sarasota/Kissimmee film festivals. With me as musical director, it won best actress, film, and director. I have (8) vocal big band CD projects which get global play and nice reviews from both nath. Radio and the jazz mag's. I would entertain a repackaging/distribution deal with any viable label. In fact, a label has just funded my new vocal big band CD project, "I Hear Music" which was released in 2004. It was dedicated to my friend, Frank Mantooth (RIP) who Arranged & composed for the big band idiom. My current Vocal big band CD project "Trilogy" is a collaborative effort between me & composer, arranger, educator & trombone phenom, Greg Neilsen. In addition, Big Apple vocalist Bob Stewart of Thad Jones big band fame will offer his talents to the project with (3) bonus vocal tracks.
